Borker SA, Bhat S. Song of the old. J Mahatma Gandhi Inst Med Sci 2014;19:172
Give me some sunshine give me some ray,
Give me another chance I want to grow up once again.
Ask me some leading questions, since I can't remember.
Ask me with sign language, since I can't always hear,
Ask me with full affection, as I am very lonely,
Ask me with a smile on face, as I feel sad currently.
Missing symptoms and signs it's not any of my fault,
If I don't take your named tablet, please don't take a halt.
Relatives, friends, spouses, sons, daughters all don't care,
So I came to you; some feelings, we could always share.
Forgive when I say, 'what else you expect at this age'?
Speak slowly and clearly, but don't get out your rage.
Don't be fatigued, neither be worked up,
You are my only friend; I have that makes me thumbs up.
Insomnia, immobility, incontinence, impotence,
Infection, isolation, institutionalization,
Incoherence, impoverishment, inanition,
Intellectual impairment, no more I's in my lesson.
I spent my childhood with fun,
Adulthood with joy,
Now it's me and myself company; each of us enjoy.
Some friends of mine have left to heavenly abode,
Some have proved me wrong, by not getting any old.
I am different from others,
I am still growing up,
Let not age be the factor which makes me feel so cold.
